On the authority of Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Among the deeds that benefit a believer after death are knowledge shared, a righteous child, a Qur’an left behind, a mosque or shelter built, a river made to flow, or charity given while healthy and alive—continuing to reward them after passing."
